Biography
Dr Samira Hosseini Hooshyar is an early-career researcher in Iran with a doctorate of veterinary medicine as her formal qualifications. Her research and expertise focuses on infectious diseases surveillance and prevention, particularly sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. She has collaborated on several translational research projects with a focus on improving access to HIV and HCV care among marginalized populations in support of the national response to these epidemics in Iran. Her capacity to produce high quality research is demonstrated by 12 publications in peer-reviewed journals, with four manuscripts in preparation as first author.
